Decisive International Market Access is a rapidly growing international business consultancy, helping businesses in South America expand their business in the United States and businesses in the United States to expand their businesses in South America.
In need of a professional logo design, digital strategy and consulting, social media design, and web design, they turned to Bourn Creative.
Our work together began with the design of a new, professional logo design for Decisive International Market Access, as well as the creation of the brand color palette, typography stack, brand style guide, and stationery design. Upon completion of the brand design, we moved on to the social media profile design and the custom WordPress website design and development.
The Decisive International Market Access website was build as a custom, responsive, HTML5, multilingual, WordPress website with retina support and schema.org integration, powered by the Genesis Framework.
As a multilingual client, with a client base fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, it was imperative that the WordPress website also provide multilingual support throughout both the front-end and back-end of the website.
While the site leverages multiple custom page templates, large hero images changeable on every page, and featured content regions, the most important feature on the site is the multi-language system integrated throughout the site.
- The site is fully translatable, changing all of the native WordPress text strings, including those for comments, comment form labels, dates, times, read more links, and search, as well as those used in the back-end of the site, to either Spanish or Portuguese.
- We setup, configured, and implemented a multilingual WordPress plugin to create two additional versions of the website, making the site available in all three languages needed.
- The site also has been configured to include unique blogs by language, as the client wanted the ability to serve different content on the company blog to visitors based on language.
The Home page template (shown below) is a custom WordPress page template using custom fields and image uploaders that give the client the ability to edit all content on the page by simply filling in or editing text fields — without writing a single line of code. When the page is saved, all of the content in the custom fields is automatically formatted on the front-end of the site, meaning the client doesn’t have to assign headline styles or sized or format any content.
The client loved the the colorful “boxed” content at the bottom of the Home page. To maintain a consistent feel through the site and create consistency in the way content is presented, Bourn Creative included a color selector for the sidebar widgets (shown below) that allows the client to choose the color of each widget from the brand color palette.
Then to further provide flexibility for the client, Bourn Creative added conditional sidebar widgets that appear based on the context of the content and a featured content widget that can use added or removed on a per page/post basis.
Integrated into the site are Infusionsoft opt-in forms and web forms. Each form on the site was created in each of the three languages, allowing the client to build a more powerful email marketing list segmented by language. It also allows them to leverage follow up sequences, additional resources and marketing materials, and autoresponders in the preferred language of their subscribers and potential clients — increasing their opportunities for conversions.
