Attorney Carolyn Goodman sought to revamp her existing Goodlaw DC website design and transfer her static website and attached blog into a single WordPress site.
Bourn creative worked closely with Carolyn on the new site content strategy, reorganizing the flow of content and calls to action. We then designed and developed a custom, responsive, HTML5, WordPress website powered by the Genesis Framework with retina support and schema.org integration.
The new Goodlaw DC site now has all of Carolyn’s content in one easy-to-manage place.
- With most people searching for her services in some state of stress, it was important to use a warm, friendly color palette that welcomes and calms visitors.
- The new, larger type size ensures the content is easy for visitors of all ages to read on devices of all sizes.
- The abundant white space keeps the focus on the content and helping visitors find what they need quickly and easily.
The WordPress theme also features a custom Home page template (shown below), giving visitors a quick overview of Carolyn’s services and introductions and links to her top three areas of practice. The images selected use warm hues, recognizable local landmarks, and general legal representation to create feelings of safety and trust.
Bourn Creative also imported and reformatted all existing content and blog posts, added eye-catching imagery, provided search engine optimization consulting, designed graphics for the company’s social media profiles, and migrated the final website to a new managed hosting platform.
We continue to work with Carolyn, providing ongoing website consulting, support, and maintenance.
