Do you want to increase your search engine results page clicks? If you do, and well, who wouldn’t? You’ve got to have a killer description of your page listed in the search engine page results.
Do me a favor please. Open up your internet browser and do a Google Search for your own website.
Do you see results like the one below? The two lines of black text that appear below the link? That text is known as your “meta description” and it can make a big difference in your website traffic from organic search.
I have a pet peeve. Okay, maybe I have several pet peeves. But this one I see all the time, and repeatedly from some and it drives me nuts!
You know the people, the ones that never miss an opportunity to tell you that they rank number one on Google for all of the keywords relating to their business.
Yeah. Right. Sure You Do.
I know for a fact one of these so-called Google Braggers uses this line to woo new clients who don’t know any better… Ah the illustrious promise of the Google Promise Land.
Here’s my problem with that. Those statements 99.9% of the time are FALSE!

In order to be found, the search robots, spiders, or crawlers need to index your website. The search bots are scanning your HTML for content, links, images, headlines, meta tags, and more. They will then combine the information they find to determine your search engine page rankings.
In order to have your site crawled by search robots, they need a reason to visit your website and index your web pages.
The number one way to get your site indexed by the search engines is to update the content frequently and consistently. You need to be kind to the search engines by giving them what they want – fresh content, clean coding, and user friendly design.
