The Washington Firm, a Seattle-based company offering a full suite outsourced human relations services, was rapidly expanding with the addition of a new office in New York. The firm had recently revamped their logo design and came to Bourn Creative for the design and development of a new WordPress website, moving them away from a static HTML site to a dynamic WordPress website and blog they could edit and update themselves.
They also wanted to:
- Establish a new color palette
- Enjoy the benefits of responsive design
- Reorganize and restructure the content on the website to make it easier for visitors to find the information they need
- Migrate the site to the WordPress platform
- Start a company blog
In terms of development, The Washington Firm website was build as a custom, responsive, HTML5, WordPress website powered by the Genesis Framework that has retina support and schema.org integration. It includes a custom Home page template (shown below) to allow the client to edit, update, and add new content easily without writing any code by simply filling in the right “boxes.”
Bourn Creative also provided hosting platform migration support to a WordPress managed host that provides automated daily backups, checkpoints, and an integrated staging environment.
The Washington Firm continues to work with Bourn Creative for consulting and ongoing website support and maintenance.
