Nicole Beurkens, founder of Horizons Developmental Resource Center, hired Bourn Creative to create a more dynamic and user-friendly website for the practice. Her site www.horizonsdrc.com was already a WordPress site, so we were hired to design a new custom WordPress theme and reorganize the content and flow of the website.
When Virtual Assistant Lisa Rickwood and I met at an Ali Brown’s Shine Event in 2009, we knew we were going to work together on her new website! When the time came, Lisa’s business focus had shifted and not only was she ready for a new custom WordPress website, she was ready for a rebrand.
Due to the brand equity and brand recognition Lisa had already built around her business, she was keeping her business name the same but shifting the focus from pure Virtual Assistance to Business Stress Relief and Relaxation consulting with a focus on creativity and art. This shift would allow Lisa to meld her artistic talents with her business!

John Williams hired Bourn Creative to create a brand identity and WordPress website for You Buy Again, a new venture he was launching to coach past home owners who experienced foreclosure or loss of their home to prepare for and be ready to buy a home again.
Bourn Creative designed and built a clean, simple, custom WordPress theme for Magdalena Bogart of Magdalena Bogart Interiors to show off her beautiful portfolio images.
With a streamlined, landscape homepage that uses a rotating image slideshow, this interior design website needed to fit Magdalena’s design style, give her control over her own site, and allow her to showcase her work, passion and talent online.
The site also needed to include a blog, without looking like a typical blog side with a crowded and cluttered sidebar and stuff everywhere! As a result, much of the Magdalena Bogart Interiors website uses a full width template without a sidebar, while the template used for the blog does use a sidebar. The different options allow her to segment her site by goal and purpose of the page.

Earlier this year we worked with Retail Business Expert Doug Hecker to design a new custom WordPress Website, email newsletter template, social media brand design, CD label and 3D graphic, and a special report cover design and interior formatting among other things.
We tend to work with a lot of women, so working with Doug was fun! One of the interesting things about this site is the header. The option you see in the screen shot shows the opt-in on the left and Doug’s logo and photo on the right.
We actually programmed three different options for the header into this theme – the one shown in the screenshot, one with the elements flipped, and one that leverages a video in the header instead of the logo and photo! This way Doug could test the different headers over time to see which one converted best for his audience.

Dr. Meredith Hansen of Newport Beach, California hired Bourn Creative earlier this year to design her new WordPress website and blog.
Dr. Hansen’s site is a customization of the Agency Child Theme for the Genesis Framework built by StudioPress. At Bourn Creative, we love Genesis and I have to admit, Agency is one of my favorite child themes. I love the simplicity of the home page and the direct focus on three main areas.
I have to be honest, at Bourn Creative we were so excited to start working with Millionaire Marketing Coach Kendall SummerHawk on her design projects. (I had been following Kendall and her work off and on since early 2009 and had heard wonderful things about her!)
We jumped right in with the design of four different information products! From the workbook front and back covers, to the CD wrappers and CD labels, to the design of the workbook content, Bourn Creative created four beautiful foundations to showcase the in-depth content inside each of these products — I know because I read the all of the workbooks and transcripts included in each product as I was laying out the content… and I learned a TON just from reading them!
Today is the official launch of the brand new, hot off the press, print magazine and website, Today’s Innovative Woman.
Today’s Innovative Woman magazine is a new venture from my friend Cathy Alessandra, publisher of the highly successful family magazine What’s Up For Kids.
From sales and marketing, to branding and social media — from fashion and beauty to home and family, Today’s Innovative Woman has it ALL for the successful woman on the go!
Today’s Innovative Woman magazine’s premiere issue will makes it’s debut at the 2011 eWomenNetwork International Conference & Business Expo and continue to publish every other month, and mailed directly to subscribers’ homes or offices.
Recently we wrapped up a brand new custom WordPress website for our client Heather Dominick of EnergyRICHcoach.com. The entire EnergyRICH® team was an absolute joy to work with and I really enjoyed designing such a beautiful and feminine site! (Check it out below)
This custom WordPress website features multiple page templates including a squeeze page template, interior web page template, blog page templates, and a sales/landing page template. It also uses several custom forms and opt-ins for event and program registrations, a variety of stock photography, and video!
