Business Spring Cleaning

Review, Revise, Reinvest in Your BusinessI love spring! While this time of year is all about new beginnings, it is also time for some serious spring cleaning. In my house and probably yours too, it’s the time of year when we take inventory of all our stuff, clean it up, weed out everything we don’t need and donate it and get rid of it. When I am all done moving, organizing, and cleaning my things, I feel great. I feel prepared and ready for whatever life may throw at me.

This spring, I encourage you to devote the same attention to your business. Take some time to review your products and services. Look at each one objectively and make a note of which ones are the most profitable, which ones you love to do, which ones are your favorite, etc.

Also make note of the things in your business that you don’t really like doing, the services that aren’t really making your much money, the things that drain your time and energy – AND GET RID OF THEM! Or, see if you could improve them or change them up a bit. And, this doesn’t just apply to the “things” in your life, this also applies to the people in your life.

Take stock in who you are surrounding yourself with. Are they supporting you, lifting you up, inspiring you, motivating you, and empowering you? If so, congratulations you are very lucky. But, if you have people who knock you down, bring about negativity, or steal your energy, consider creating some distance and space for an upgrade. It may sound harsh, but you are the average of the five people you surround yourself with the most… shouldn’t they be people who are where you want to be and people who support you completely with good energy?

By doing this, not only will you feel great about moving forward in your business, but you will have a much better understanding of how your services, your products, and your team are benefitting you as well as your clients. And, you may just find that new ideas, possibilities, and people are waiting for you to uncover them in the process.
