Jennifer Bourn,
Your Outsourced Marketing Manager
Jennifer Bourn brings to Bourn Creative a level of industry knowledge and understanding that no one else has. Jennifer has always had an innate need to be the absolute best at everything she does, her thirst for information, and a drive to succeed has resulted in a diverse and valuable level of strategic expertise and tactical hands-on experience.
By the time Jennifer graduated from college, she had five years of full-time graphic design experience at an advertising agency, moving from production grunt, to creative services director. And, she had completed internships at a printer, a newspaper, a magazine, and a marketing agency.
Her experience also includes managing the design and production for a publishing company, teaching upper division corporate identity design and branding at CSU Sacramento, and managing all of the graphic design and web design for a public relations firm.
Jennifer founded Bourn Creative 2005 to give her the freedom to stay home with her children and continue to build a career doing what she loves. She immediately jumped into the branding, web design, and marketing arenas to fulfill her passion for helping smart, savvy business owners create powerful brands, attract more clients and get found more often online. Today she is a savvy mompreneur and Bourn Creative’s Marketing Manager, Art Director, and Chief Strategist, and is constantly reading, experimenting, and learning to expand her knowledge-base, keep informed of the latest trends and tools, and provide a high-level of service to Bourn Creative’s clients.
When she’s not working, Jennifer loves to read, bake, tackle craft projects with her children, and go shopping! She loves tulips, chocolate, jewelry, Starbucks’ Iced Venti Sweetened Black Teas, and lounging by the pool in her dream backyard that Brian designed and built. Jennifer attempts to make it to the gym, but really just isn’t into it and is currently having fun with her new Wii Fit when she can wrangle the handsets away from the kids!
Brian Bourn,
CEO and Operations Manager
Brian’s crystal clear understanding of global economics, business operations, and his passion for finance was one of the leading factors in the decision to start Bourn Creative. From day one, Brian has managed all of the finances, book keeping, taxes, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, and he has acted as advisor in key decisions made within the company and for the improvement of our client’s companies.
In late 2009, Bourn Creative transitioned from a Sole Proprietorship to a Limited Liability Company and Brian was named Chief Executive Officer. In his expanded role, Brian is now managing the day to day operations of the business, vendor relationships, new business development, and estimating. He also advises on consumer perspectives and overall business positioning.
When Brian isn’t working he is busy playing racquetball, working on the house, coaching his daughter’s soccer team, and BBQing by the pool. He loves taking the family on weekend getaways, reading with the kids, going on family adventures, and playing outdoors.
